We use personal information to answer enquiries, create and fulfil orders, provide accounts, reconcile payments, protect the service and meet legal duties. Contact info@snackculture.co.uk for privacy questions and rights requests.
Information, purposes and lawful bases
We process names, work/contact details, email, telephone, delivery/billing addresses, order requirements, account information, support correspondence, payment references and transaction records. Stripe handles card data; we do not store full card numbers. Technical/authentication and security records help protect the service.
Contract performance and steps requested before a contract support individual customer enquiries, payment and fulfilment. For workplace contacts, normal business administration, fraud prevention and proportionate service security we may rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Tax, accounting and other statutory duties use legal obligation. Optional marketing and non-essential tracking require the applicable consent or other lawful basis; submitting an order or enquiry is not automatic marketing consent.
Sharing for fulfilment and operations
Where needed, we share the delivery recipient, business/address details, relevant telephone number, bakery items, quantities and instructions with our bakery partner MunchyHub and appropriate delivery providers to fulfil your order. Only necessary details are shared. The supplier purchase order does not include your retail price, bank-payment instructions or full account history. Supplier data must be used for order fulfilment, not unrelated marketing. Individual allergy/medical details are not requested; discuss product requirements without unnecessary health information.
Our service providers include Netlify for hosting/forms/functions, Supabase for accounts/database, Stripe for online payments, and Zoho for business email. Google Drive may hold restricted business backups. Authorised staff, professional advisers and authorities may receive information where necessary and lawful. We do not sell customer information. Where providers process data outside the UK, the required adequacy decision or other lawful transfer safeguards must be in place; details are available on request.
Retention, storage and your choices
We retain order and financial records for the period required for accounting, tax and legal claims, normally six years after the relevant financial period, and may retain them longer for an actual dispute or legal obligation. Routine unsuccessful enquiries are normally reviewed for deletion within 12 months. Account, correspondence, security logs and backups are retained only as needed for their purpose and legal obligations, with retention reviewed. Deleting an online account does not require us to delete records we must lawfully retain.
Essential browser storage supports the basket, sign-in and security. The cookie-animation preference records only your display choice. Optional analytics are not enabled merely by accepting these policies and any future non-essential storage requires appropriate notice and choice. You can contact Sales to order without opening an online account.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, including direct marketing. Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity; rights may be limited where another legal duty applies. We aim to respond within the legal time limit, normally one month. There is no solely automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects in the described service.
Raise concerns with info@snackculture.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. We update this notice when our use of information materially changes and provide any further notice required.
